Service & Repair Rubber Materials
COLD SPLICE MATERIAL – CN FILLER
CN Filler rubber is used for belt repair, and as a sealing strip for splices and two directional cold pulley lagging. Reinforced filler rubber can also be used as a cold repair for damaged fabric plies in conveyor belts.
Double sided CN bonding layer for better adhesion with kontact cold vulcanizing cement.
Single sided bonding layer and fabric reinforced rubber available upon request.
LAGGING MATERIAL
Kolag – Pulley Lagging Sheets
Specially formulated abrasion resistant sheets, with a CN bonding layer for better adhesion.
Diamond and square embossed grooves improve belt grip and tracking on conveyors, while reducing belt wear. Available in various grades of rubber including N and FRAS.
Special polymer bonding layer produces a superior bond and eliminates the need for buffing the rubber prior to bonding.
Kolag – Pulley Lagging Strips
Kolag strips of pulley lagging rubber is especially suited to in-situ work. Easily applied by cutting lengths off a roll, reduces wastage. Available also in fire resistant and antistatic (FRAS) compounds for use in underground mines.
Kolag strips are produced in a unique “arrowboss” pattern for superior grip, with radial lines and groved pattern for superior water shedding. Buffed finish for fine tolerances of up to +/- 0.25mm, or optional bonding layer.
ADHESIVES
Kontact – AR2000 Cold Vulcanizing Cement
Kontact AR2000 is suitable for all applications of bonding rubber to: Rubber, metal, cement, wood and many other materials. The use of trichloroethylene as the solvent system results in the development of a nonflammable rubber based adhesive.
Konstik – AR180 Cold Vulcanizing Cement
Lining adhesive is specially formulated rubber based adhesive used for all rubber lining applications giving good adhesion to most rubber surfaces.
SKIRT RUBBER
Skirting rubber in the form of soft sheet and strips (50 duro), are supplied as an effective dust control and barrier to prevent spillage along the conveyor system. Especially in loading areas where this can be a problem. The soft rubber wears preferentially to the belt covers and flexes out of the way to minimize belt wear.
Recycled rubber of higher hardness can also be used for this application. However its uses would be limited to areas wear belts suffer high damage and wear. Available in normal grade (15mtr rolls) and premium grade (30mtr rolls)
